PalmElit, filiale du Cirad et de Sofiprotéol, améliore et met en marché des variétés de palmier à huile en Asie, Afrique et Amérique, avec un statut de leader permis par un savoir-faire unique et reconnu et des partenariats solides sur ces trois continents. Son marché est celui des plantations, petites et grandes, s’inscrivant dans une logique de durabilité (RSPO). PalmElit souhaire renforcer son offre commerciale.
Missions :
PalmElit, a subsidiary of Cirad and Sofiprotéol, develops and markets oil palm varieties in Asia, Africa, and the Americas. It holds a leadership position thanks to its unique and recognized expertise, as well as strong partnerships across these three continents. The company serves plantations, both large and small, that operate within a framework of sustainability (RSPO). PalmElit aims to strengthen its commercial offerings.
The job holder:
- maximizes seeds and services sales, for that he/she:
· - develops a close relations with the seed purchasers, prospects and other stakeholders and visits to their headquarters and plantations,
· - presents PalmElit seed product offer to maximise value for a diversity of customers, accordingly to their typology i.e. capitalist firms to family farms, donors and NGO,
· - gives advice to customers on the feasibility of their project and choice of product,
· - improves customers early engagements, anticipate customers needs,
· - presents PalmElit agronomic services,
· - develops and manage a network of national business and sales developers, business finders, distributors, nursery operators and service providers,
· - engages big plantations to set up nurseries for smallholders farmers
· - registers all interactions with customers and prospects (S’agit-il du CRM ?)
· - organizes Seed Evidences Days (est-ce que ces mots seront compris ?) and testimonials close to users
· - partcipates to solve any disputes with the customers
· - produces tender documents (donors), follow-up their implementation, get the quotation signed for any sale,
· - interacts with the sustainability manager, in order to facilitate the sustainability analysis of all the plantation projects
· - interacts with the Supply Chain Manager and the Sales Administrator
· - identifys and interact with national prescribers in order to ... as favorable as possible to oil palm develpment,
· - prepares market analysis including price benchmark, market share, regulations, responsible of national marketing plans
· - contributes to the definition of the commercial strategy, contribute to digital communication and community management, support communication plans
· - Proposes a 3-year sales plan
· - contributes to the annual budget
· - reports to the Head of Marketing & Commercial
· - in nurseries and plantations, disseminate grower’s handbook,
· - train, advice and sensitize nursery operators and growers on good practices, follow-up visit of pre-nursery, nursery and/or young plantation,
- monitors the progress of contracts related to sales, follow-up of payments / letters of credit / bills for collection notifications, facilitate import and logistics
Vous êtes un ingénieur agro/agri avec de très bonnes aptitudes commerciales et organisationnelles avec une expérience de l’Afrique, des semences et/ou du palmier à huile, qui peut être de quelques années ou plus longue.
Vous avez de réelles facilités de communication et mesurez l’importance de rendre compte.
La maîtrise de l’anglais et du français sont impératifs.
Vous avez une disponibilité importante pour effectuer des missions à l’étranger.
Niveau de formation BAC+5.
You are an agro/agri engineer with strong commercial and organizational skills, and experience in Africa, seeds, and/or oil palm, which can range from a few years to more extensive.
You have excellent communication abilities and understand the importance of reporting.
Fluency in both English and French is essential.
You must be willing to travel extensively for international assignments.
Educational level required is a Master's degree (BAC+5).
Vous assurez plus de plus de 100 jours de déplacement par an en Afrique.
